Ibrahim House is a nonprofit reentry program designed exclusively for Muslim men returning home from Wisconsin correctional facilities. Our mission is to provide a strong, faith-based foundation to help you rebuild your life with dignity and purpose.
For decades, the Milwaukee Islamic Dawah Center’s Ibrahim House Program in Wisconsin has supported successful reentry.
Wisconsin once held the record for having the highest rate of men of color incarcerated—primarily for non-violent offenses—and zip code 53206 has been especially affected.
We help Muslim ex-offenders by nurturing their faith, guiding them toward stable employment, and providing leadership development. Together, we reduce recidivism and strengthen our communities.
At the Ibrahim House, we believe each returning citizen has the potential for greatness—just like Malcolm X did after his release from prison.
His transformation serves as a powerful example of how faith, discipline, and community support can spark remarkable change.
By offering spiritual guidance, practical resources, and a safe environment, we help each brother tap into that same spirit of resilience and leadership.
After all, one life turned around can influence families, communities, and even the world.
At the Ibrahim House, our primary aim is to lower the rate of re-offending among Muslim returning citizens. We do this by empowering them to become productive members of society through Islamically focused growth.
With faith-based mentorship, practical resources, and a supportive network, we believe our brothers can grow into strong leaders, ready to uplift themselves, their families, and communities.

Hear about their positive experiences with the Ibrahim House.
"After spending 17 years incarcerated in Wisconsin, I know the importance of having a faith-based support system. It gives you shoulders to cry on, ears that listen, and strength that helps you build when you may feel that you were forgotten or have no use. Knowing that the Ibrahim House uplifts returning citizens lights a fire under me daily with the work I do now as I further the reach of the ACLU."
"I am so happy that I was able to get help with finding a job and somewhere to live where I could be so close to the mosque and make the morning prayer. All praise is due to Allah for everything."
"As a boxer, all I knew was how to fight, but after I became Muslim I was able to channel my energy to something peaceful. Now, with the help of Allah, I fight for the right thing because I learned how what good leadership is from Brother Nazir and the Ibrahim House program."
"Most men don't have a group of men who they can honestly say they trust. Alhamdolillah, I trust, love, and respect all that the ummah does for the Ibrahim House because all I see is Islam in action."
